GAVIN GC615WMA Cooled Mid Wave Infrared 640x512 / 15 μm Thermal Camera Module
The GAVIN GC615WMA integrates a 640×512/15μm broadband MWIR detector and an RS058 low-temperature cryocooler, combined with multiple built-in image processing algorithms. With its high sensitivity and broad spectral response, it plays a vital role in advanced applications such as high-temperature defect detection, forest fire prevention, and other demanding scenarios.
GAVIN GC series cooled thermal module utilizes MCT & T2SL cooled IR detectors and integrates various image processing algorithms to output clear infrared images in total darkness or bad weather conditions. It can detect and recognize risks and threats at long distance while presenting more target details at short distance.

The GAVIN GC615WMA thermal camera module is widely used in many areas such as Environmental Monitoring, Long-range Surveillance, High-Temperature Defect Identification, and Multi-Spectral Switching.
Thermal Sensitivity, also named NETD (Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference), is a key parameter for evaluating medium wave (MWIR) and long wave (LWIR) thermal imaging cameras. It is directly related to the clarity measured by the thermal imager. It is a numerical value representing the signal-to-noise ratio of the temperature difference and measured in milliKelvins (mK). The smaller the thermal sensitivity value, the higher the sensitivity and the clearer the image.
Temperature measurement and all-weather imaging are two basic functions of infrared thermal imaging technology. Products developed based on these two technologies are widely used in security & monitoring, industrial inspection, firefighting, predictive maintenance, ADAS, epidemic prevention, AIoT etc.
MCT, also called HgCdTe, refers to Mercury-Cadmium-Tellurid which is a chemical compound of cadmium telluride (CdTe) and mercury telluride (HgTe) and a common material in photodetectors. MCT/HgCdTe detector is a photoconductive detector that operates at a cryogenic environment and can detect infrared radiation. It is more sensitive than thermal sensors.
